How Can We Help?
When you want to delete or add a new company in your Dynamics GP system, you may need to run some procedures in our products to synchronize the tables.
Adding Companies:
GP Agent: When adding companies, you will need to run the setup wizard for the mc² product to add company specific SQL objects to the database.
Advanced Intercompany Transactions: When adding companies, you will need to run the setup wizard for the mc² product to add company specific SQL objects to the database. You should always do this on the same computer (first workstation or server) on which you originally installed AIT. You will also need to run check links on the AIT Account Master and AIT Account Format tables (select them in that order). Additional information can be found in the “Adding A New Company” section in the manual.
Deleting Companies:
GP Agent: When deleting a company, do not simply drop the database. Make sure to delete it inside of GP and run any processes recommended by Microsoft. No additional GP Agent processes need to be run.
Advanced Intercompany Transactions: When deleting a company, do not simply drop the database. Make sure to delete it inside of GP and run any processes recommended by Microsoft. You will also need to run check links on the AIT Account Master, AIT Account Format, and AIT Template tables (select them in that order). Follow that with running Reconcile on the AIT work tables, in case they reference a deleted company. Keep in mind that transactions that reference the deleted companies will no longer be able to display the account information on inquiry windows and cross-company drill-down will be disabled for transactions that originated in the deleted companies.
